It's a GIRL.....!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to introduce to you; The lovely and beautiful, Jasmine!

Isn't she just PRECIOUS!? My son and I are head over heels in love with her already. Right now she's raging war against the shoulder straps on my Coach purse. She's winning, too. She was supposed to be 8 weeks old, but there's NO WAY she's more than 4 or 5 weeks old. She has been weened because she's eating soft food just fine. Thankfully, I trusted my instinct and threw some cans of Iams soft food for kittens in the buggy when I went shopping. I also got her the high protein Iams dry food for kittens, so I'm adding it to the wet little by little so I can transition her to just the dry food. She eats like a champ! She finally drank some water, but only after I put it in a separate glass bowl. I read that some cats don't like the smell of the plastic so omorrow her dish is going in the dishwasher and we'll give it another try.
Well, I am going to go snuggle with the princess!

We're Adopting!

....a kitten! And it's a GIRL! We do have a name picked out, but we're waiting to announce it until she's here, in our arms. My 10 year old son and I built her "kitty condo" today. How awesome does this thing look?

It even has this adorable little hammock for her to curl up and take a nap in. Man I really hope she likes it..lol. I think my sanity really needs this new life in our house. I just hope that she'll be happy here, too. Can't wait until Monday!

No More Ms. Nice Witch!

There comes a time when eventually things build up and you're just full. I try to be a very understanding person and when someone needs to get something off of their chest I try to just let them vent. If I agree with what they're saying I'll say so but if I don't agree with what they're saying I try to keep my mouth shut. There is one person in a group that I'm in that has apparently taken my silence to her posts as a weakness. By my remaining silent it seems that I have given this person permission to think she can talk (or type) to me in a disrespectful manner. It is something that has bothered me for a while now and when someone else commented about it in a Facebook email, it pissed me off. For those that know me in person or who have known me for a really long time they know that I am not, have never been...and WILL never be the type of person to let others walk all over me. And it pisses me off even more that other people see it as well. 
Those days are OVER. No more Ms. Nice Witch.

Hello & Merry Meet

Hello & Merry Meet! My name is Janie, but everyone just calls me Jai. I was born and raised in Palestine, Texas and moved to Tennessee in 1992. My son and I just recently moved from Knoxville, TN to Auburn, Washington....and we LOVE it here! We've gone through a lot of changes in the past (almost) 2 months since we've moved here. That's probably why I decided to create this blog. Sometimes I just need to get things out on "paper". I need to literally READ what is going on in my life so that I can process things and reflect on them.
